Differences in understanding of elevator inspection regulations and national standards

Question: TSG T7001-2009 item 6.2 (1) stipulates that the clearance between door leaves and between door leaves and uprights, lintels and sills is not more than 6mm for passenger elevators; for cargo elevators, it is not more than 8mm. Abrasion is allowed to reach 10mm.
GB7588-2003 section 7.1 stipulates that for passenger elevators, this movement gap should not be greater than 6mm. For cargo elevators, this gap must not be greater than 8mmm. Due to wear, the gap value is allowed to reach 10mm.
In the practice of inspection, our company believes that the provisions of the inspection regulations should be understood as follows: During the periodic inspection, due to wear and tear, the allowable gap of 10mmd applies only to cargo elevators and not to passenger elevators, so the clearance of passenger elevators is regularly inspected. The middle should still not be larger than 6mm. The interpretation of the elevator standard committee is due to wear and tear, allowing 10mm for both cargo elevators and passenger elevators. What kind of interpretation should be followed in future inspection practice?

Reply: The traction drive elevator in use shall meet the content and requirements of the "Elevator Supervision Inspection and Periodic Inspection Rules-Traction and Forced Drive Elevator" (TSG T7001-2009, including amendments).

7.1 General

There shall be a non-perforated landing door at the opening of the hoistway into the car. After the door is closed, the gap between the door leafs and between the door leaf and the uprights, the lintel and the sill shall be as small as possible.

For passenger elevators, this movement gap must not be greater than 6mm. For cargo elevators, this gap must not be greater than 8mm. Due to wear, the gap value is allowed to reach 10mm. If there is a recessed portion, the above gap is measured from the recessed bottom.
